What's the difference?
There are many types of stone, but they are generally divided into Natural Stone and Engineered Stone.
Understanding the strengths, weaknesses, and recommended uses of each can help you choose the perfect material for your space!

Quartz
Engineered Stone
Indoor / Kitchen / Bathroom
It is highly durable and resistant to stains and scratches, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring.
Since it doesn’t require sealing,
it is also very easy to maintain.
However, it is sensitive to UV rays, so it is not recommended for outdoor use.
Granite
Natural Stone
Outdoor / Kitchen / Exterior Wall
It is highly resistant to heat, scratches, and everyday wear, making it a perfect choice for kitchen countertops, flooring, and even exterior walls. Granite can be used both indoors and outdoors, and while it requires minimal maintenance, periodic sealing is recommended to help protect against stains and preserve its natural finish.
Marble
Natural Stone
Indoor / Bathroom / Wall
It is commonly used in bathrooms, wall cladding, and high-end flooring, adding a sophisticated touch to any interior.
However, marble is relatively soft and porous, making it vulnerable to scratches, stains, and acidic substances.
It is not recommended for outdoor use, and requires frequent sealing and gentle care to maintain its beauty.
Quartzite
Natural Stone
Outdoor / Kitchen / Wall
It has a luxurious appearance similar to marble but is much stronger and more durable, making it ideal for kitchen countertops and wall applications.
It can be used both indoors and outdoors, but requires regular sealing to prevent staining.
Dolomite
Natural Stone
Indoor / Bathroom / Wall
It is often used for bathroom vanities, wall cladding, and flooring due to its soft, elegant appearance.
However, it is not recommended
for kitchen countertops, as it is
sensitive to acidic substances like
lemon juice or vinegar.
Regular sealing is required to help protect the surface
from etching and stains.
Soft
Quartzite
Natural Stone
Indoor / Bathroom / Wall
It is a great choice for bathrooms, wall surfaces, and moderate-use countertops, providing a refined look with decent durability. While it is more durable than marble, it is still softer than true quartzite, so care should be taken with acidic substances. Regular sealing is recommended, and it is best suited for indoor applications, as its surface may weather more easily outdoors.
